Gossard London®

Henry Williamson Gossard founded the H.W. Gossard Company in Chicago in 1901. He was inspired to produce garments for fashionable women around the world by a trip to Paris, where he saw Sarah Bernhardt’s figure transformed by a corset. Gossard launched in London in 1922, and throughout the following decades forged its reputation as the pioneering lingerie brand for the modern woman- changing its products as woman’s demands changed. From the introduction of lightweight nylon girdles in the 50s to decorative diamante thongs to the newly relaunched Superboost cleavage-enhancing range, Gossard London continues to be on the forefront of lingerie design. In 2006, Nitches began distributing Gossard London® in the U.S.

The target customer for the Gossard London® brand is a woman who is in control of her life and leads an aspirational lifestyle. She considers herself confident and comfortable in her sexuality and likes to treat herself to occasional indulgences. She searches for refined and sophisticated products that allow her to feel comfortable and sexy. Using satin, lace and tulle as
the main fabrics, the main focus of the collection is on style and structure. Where maximum comfort meets maximum style, the Superboost Satin, Lace and Temptation (continuity products) ranges enhance natural curves with discreet cushioned cups whilst the seasonal ranges feature molded and non-padded bras in vintage floral and lace designs.

The Gossard® collection is sold in department and specialty stores. Retail prices for bras are between $55-$64, $19-$30 for bottoms and $30-$36 for garter belts.
